One man's meat is another man's poison, so they say.

And that's certainly true on this website where, every week someone will Hotwire in that HMBoy X is "the most beautiful boy on the planet" while another member will say that X is so gross that he probably a life form that didn't even originate from our galaxy.

Yet, even if we disagree over the quality of the meat on offer, I guess we'd all agree that we all like meat in general.

But what sort?

Some say that producing veal involves cruelty to animals.

Lamb isn't necessarily to everyone's taste.

Pork's off the menu for our Jewish friends (including one of my first boyfriends - where are you now, Al Herskovits?)

Lot's of us like chicken - though I guess, if we're not careful, it's liable to get us into trouble.

So we're left with beef.

And a piece of prime US beef is what's on the HMBoys.com menu today.

This particular young animal comes to us in fine form.

Reared on the finest pastures.

Allowed to roam free to build up those firm young muscles.

Juicy.

Succulent.

Full of flavour.

Chad.

Of course, once he discards his outer woolly winter coat, he looks an even more impressive beast.

Even the briefest examination of the carcass shows some very fine cuts of meat on offer…

…and here's an odd thing!

Most meat shrinks as it cooks in the oven…

Whereas this particular piece of meat actually gets bigger as it gets hotter - amazing!

And most meat disappears as you put it into your mouth…

Whereas this meat seems to increase in volume - unbelievable!

Of course, there's plenty left for those of you whose preference is rump steak.

And, if anyone's worrying that enjoying this prime piece of beef is in short supply, don't worry about it!
