Opposites.

So why do we also describe opposites as chalk and cheese?

OK - they're not very much alike.

You'd soon spit it out if you began munching on a piece of chalk. 

And a teacher isn't going to find it easy writing on a blackboard with a piece of cheese (although at least there wouldn't be that awful screeching sound you'll remember from your own school days!)

No - chalk and cheese is an odd expression.

But that's how our friends describe us - me and my boyfriend.

You've already met both of us recently here, of course, but just to re-introduce ourselves, first of all I'm Dante…

As you already know, I'm studying marketing in college - with as little Italian literature on the side (hence the name!) - and there's nothing I like better than burying my head in a book (except burying it in Seb's butt!)

So I guess you'd say - like all my friends do - that I'm a bit of a quiet bookworm. Definitely the classroom chalk of the pair.

Seb, on the other hand, is the Mr Extrovert of the partnership.

You'll never find him with his nose between the pages of a book unless it's the latest gay sex manual or porno mag.

No, there's nothing intellectual about Seb.

When he's not entertaining his clients as a gay guide to Prague, he's more of the sporting type.

And maybe it's because we are such chalk and cheese types that Seb and I get along so well.

Anyway, I guess you've got the picture now.
