Well, in more than 10 years producing material for HMBoys.com, we thought we'd heard it all... But Mitchell's story really takes the biscuit.
It wasn't anything that actually happened during his photoshoot itself. That went very smoothly... We got the pictures we wanted... Paid the boy his money... Sent him on his way... And, quite honestly, thought no more about him that dozens of other cute young kids who we've photographed over the years.
But then, completely out of the blue, we got a letter.
It was from Mitchell - except that it turned out that he wasn't Mitchell at all, or, at any rate, not the Mitchell he'd described himself as being.
Sure, he was a college student and yes, he was straight, just like he'd told us (as, unfortunately, so many of them are!)
But he hadn't, it seemed, become an HMBoy just for the money...
No, in reality he was a journalism student and, desperate to come up with a weird and wacky idea for a magazine feature that would impress his tutors, he'd decided on "My day as a gay porn model."
Thankfully, for our own security (and for a few hot thrills afterwards!) we always video our photoshoots these days. But we needn't have worried, in any case because, from the copy of his article that he'd sent us, it was clear that Mitchell had been surprised by just how professional an operation we run.
HMBoys came out of the article, in fact, smelling of the proverbial roses and, thanks to the fact that our boy's piece was subsequently published in his college newspaper, we've actually recruited quite a few of his fellow students as models since then.
But then, just a few weeks later, we had a second big surprise - another letter from Mitchell.
Because, having realised that working in gay porn wasn't only quite well paid but also relatively easy work, he offered us the chance to work with him again - and this time, he says, he's even prepared to shoot a duo with another boy!
What's the chance, do you think, of a Pulitzer Prize?
